In just two years, our OTD – Phoenix Metro program will equip and prepare you to be the change you want to see in your community. Over the course of the program, you’ll experience online learning, hands-on lab immersions just minutes from downtown Phoenix, and fieldwork placements that are meant to expose you to the real impact of the work you’ll do post-graduation. Our esteemed faculty and staff are here to support you every step of the way. You’ll be well-prepared to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam, to enter the workforce confidently, and to contribute to the advancement of the field.

Admissions Requirements:
- U.S. bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Completion of Core Science and General Prerequisites
- Completion of personal statement through OTCAS
- Admissions Committee interview
No GRE, Observation Hours, or Letters of Recommendation required
Accreditation Statement
The entry-level occupational therapy doctoral degree program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 510E, Bethesda, MD 20814. The program must have a preaccreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
